<em>Amref Health Africa (formerly African Medical Research Foundation) is the premier African-led international health development organization headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 1957 as the Flying Doctors of East Africa to bring critical health services to remote communities, Amref Health Africa in the intervening years has broadened its mission to include training of some 500 thousand community health workers and managing the design and implementation of health development projects in more than 30 countries across Africa. The organization employs over 1,000 people.</em><br /> <br /><strong><em>Amref Health Africa had been implementing the project titled</em></strong> <strong><em>EC Sanitation Daily Project In Addis Ketema, Lideta And Kirkos Sub City Of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia</em></strong><br /><br /><em>We are currently seeking a consultant firm to conduct a <strong>Midterm Survey</strong> for the above mentioned project. </em><br /> <br /><strong>Objective of the project</strong><br />The main objective of the midterm evaluation will be to assess the project’s relevance and progress in achieving set objectives against targets, efficiency, effectiveness, impact (intermediate outcome) and based on the finding, to take decisions on the future orientation and emphasis of the project during the remaining time.<br /><br /><strong><em>Specific objectives of the project</em></strong><br />To improve the living conditions in 3 slums of Addis Ababa through increased sustainable access to basic sanitation, better technological and management capacities, better knowledge and awareness on hygiene and sanitation, and dissemination of best practices for policy enhancement. As a result the project will increase the proportion of people who have access to basic hygiene and sanitation service in the slums by 30% through comprehensive and multi-modal approach.<ul><li>To promoting behavior change by participatory methods, and leading to improvements in health, human dignities, environment sustainability, education and socioeconomic development.</li></ul><br /><strong><em>Scope of the assessment</em></strong><br />-To assess the relevance, efficiency and effectiveness of the project <br />-To assess the projects progress in achieving the set out puts and outcomes against targets<br />-To assess the sustainability of project outcomes after the project phase out<br />
Job Requirements
